5 Royal Wedding Predictions for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Wedding
The Royal Wedding is just a few weeks away - from the jewellery to the bridal party, check out our Royal Wedding predictions!
With just over a month to go until the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the nation cannot wait to see their favourite ginger prince and soon-to-be princess tie the knot. As soon as the press and the public were introduced to Harry's soon-to-be-wife, we fell head over heels for her elegant style and confident persona. Infact, the UK love her so much, 37% of the British public voted Meghan as their favourite Princess of all time (Express). Alongside this, Meghan's stunning yellow gold three stone diamond engagement ring was voted as the UK's favourite Royal engagement ring.
The Royal Wedding is taking place at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle on 19th May 2018, and although it's not a national holiday *sigh*, we cannot wait to watch all the action unfold on TV. From the diamond wedding jewellery to the bridal party and the coverage, Diamond Heaven have come up with a few of our own Royal Wedding predictions for the impending nuptials.
The 2018 Royal Wedding Day Will Cost Over £32 Million
Considering Meghan Markle's stunning yellow gold trilogy diamond engagement ring is thought to be worth £122,500, and the Ralph and Russo engagement dress she wore was valued at £56,000, it's no surprise that Prince Harry's Royal Wedding won't be cheap. Wedding Planning app, Bridebook predicted that the Royal Wedding would cost over £30 million, basing their figures on total of 4,040 guests, 17,000 glasses of champagne and wine, 28,000 canapés and an 8-tier banana cake. You can find out more about it here.
Meghan and Harry Will Have Matching Wedding Rings
We know that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding rings will be made from Welsh Gold, but we're unclear on the style. We predict that the Suit's actress will have a yellow gold wedding band with the signature Welsh dragon engraving, and will match her diamond engagement ring, and Harry will also have a men's wedding ring that matches Meghan's bridal set.
Princess Charlotte Will Be a Bridesmaid and Prince George Will Be a Pageboy
You should expect a Sovereign Wedding in the UK to be a family affair, with children and those in their early teens having roles in wedding party. After Meghan and Harry announced their betrothal, The Sunday Times confirmed that Princess Charlotte and Prince George will have roles in the wedding, and we're willing to bet that they will be a bridesmaid and pageboy. We cannot wait to see these two adorable royals steal the show!
Meghan Will Stick to Yellow Gold Diamond Wedding Jewellery
It's common knowledge that Meghan is a fan of yellow gold jewellery, and considering her diamond engagement ring and wedding band are yellow gold, it's almost as if there is a common theme here... We think that Meghan will go for jewellery that's sophisticated yet striking - such as a sparkling pair of diamond drop earrings paired with a single row diamond tennis bracelet.
Meghan Will Wear an Understated Tiara
As we mentioned earlier, Meghan is all about understated glamour, which is why we predict that she will wear a tiara that is elegant and minimal in style. We know that she won't be wearing the Cartier Halo tiara that The Duchess of Cambridge wore during her wedding to Prince William in 2011, as it will be in Canberra, on display at the National Gallery of Australia for an exhibition of Cartier's most iconic pieces.
